Our bespoke Adventurous Bali:
This full day tour of exploring mountain, lake and rice terraces; incorporate of driving, canoeing and cycling. We first take you into the Lake District, a region of great natural beauty in the central highlands about 1500 m elevation above sea level. Our first destination is Lake Beratan, the largest of the three volcanic lakes in the heart of Bali, about 50 km north of Denpasar. We visit ‘Pura Ulun’, the temple on the western shore that is devoted to the goddess of the lake, Ida Batara Dewi Ulun Danu. It was built in 1633.
Surround yourself with nature and see Bali’s natural beauty! Trekk through one of Bali’s Jungles, meet the friendly village people and canoe across the Tamblingan Lake at the northwestern edge of Bedugul caldera in a traditional dugout canoe. We will start canoeing on on dugout conoe around the lake while enjoying a great view of two volcanoes around you. Heading to the west shore to visit sacred spring where it is only accessible by water.
The next adventure awaits at Jati Luwih a huge extensive rice field recognized by UNESCO as world heritage. After lunch we will then take you to start point where we cycle to Jatiluwih Valley which offers one of the most astonishing examples of terraced agriculture in the world. In Jatiluwih the landscape is a sculpture that was meticulously perfected over some five hundred years by many generations of farmers who collectively created an intricate infrastructure of dams, canals and aqueducts to irrigate their individual rice fields most efficiently. The cycling will end up in Marga Village where we will make the last stop to enjoy coffee break in Balinese Family home.
