Selayar Dive Resort Diving, South Sulawesi

Your home for a perfect diving holiday in Indonesia. The oceans surrounding Indonesia are home to the largest diversity of marine species in the world which makes diving in Indonesia an experience many divers only dream of. Indonesia is an underwater paradise and diving in Selayar is truly a breathtaking and mesmerizing experience.

The first resort in South Sulawesi was planned and built to conserve the natural beauty of the surroundings and integrate the resort into the marvelous scenery of one kilometre long white sandy beach. The lush landscape and rainforest show off the resort’s natural beauty. It is only when one gets really close to the shore that it is possible to identify the bungalows among the trees.

The beach bungalows built in a traditional Indonesian style using local raw materials and perfected with western know how. Each one stands in its own secluded grove of trees and has its own section of private beach right in front of the bungalow.

Guests have fantastic views of the beach, the sea and palm trees, even when lying in bed. There is a ceiling fan in each bungalow (AC is also available), minibar, firm comfortable mattresses and mosquito nets. The beach bungalows are furnished with solid wood and rattan furniture, while sun loungers and hammocks are waiting on the terrace. Large desks with 220 V sockets offer considerable space even for the most enthusiastic photographer. The bathrooms are equipped according to western standards including hot water.

Two Beach Villas offer an exclusive staying experience. Each air-conditioned Beach Bungalow has 75 m² spaces, offering a semi open tropical bathroom, plenty of storage space, day-bed, fridge and minibar, camera charging station, and tasteful decor. These new villas offer a touch of luxury with stunning views for your entire stay.

The beach restaurant is the heart of the resort where guests meet for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the big veranda, and they can also enjoy cocktails in the small bar. However, guests are also welcome to bring their own liquor if they wish.

The restaurant offers Asian and International cuisine. Dinner is a full three-course-menu which includes soups, fresh fish, Asian or European style chicken, and steak. Once a week a beautiful buffet will allow guests to sample a wide range of dishes plus mouthwatering desserts.

The dive center is located next to the restaurant in the center of the resort, just a few steps from the jetty. Your dive gear will be assembled on the boat before the first dive briefing of the day. Three Bauer compressors are discreetly positioned in the jungle behind the resort to eliminate background noise heard in the resort.
